For short putts it is best to rock your shoulders without any wrist action. To get the feel this stroke, you can place an alignment rod between your chest and arms while you stroke some practice putts.
During the backswing, focus on keeping the same angle in your wrists that you started with at address.
And, on the follow through, check to see if you have the same wrist angle you started with as well.
If you have been pushing and pulling short putts, this drill will train you to rock your shoulders instead of trying to guide the putter with your hands.
