Overview: The course was in great shape today! The grass is really looking good. I had an interesting round that was good for my patience. Lots of tap-in pars and also accidentally hit the wrong ball that was sitting down in the rough on number 12. That mistake cost me a few shots, but was a good lesson to mark the ball and lift it to check it when it’s deep in the rough.

Highlites:

#10. Driver into the right rough and then hit a high 9-iron over a tree from 161 yards to 30 feet. Just missed the putt for eagle but led to an easy tap-in birdie.

#12. Driver to 5 feet and then made the putt for eagle

Positives: On the first hole I got up and down by making an 8 footer to save par. After that, I never had another par putt that was over 2 feet except for number 12. I hit the ball well with a lot of good looks at birdie and my speed on putts was really good.

Areas to improve: I will back away when not focused. I hit 2 shots today when I wasn’t fully committed. Also, I will make sure to check my ball to make sure it’s mine before I hit it. I have it marked with a sharpie on 3 sides, but now I’m going to start marking on all 4 sides.
