• Introduction

Hello, my name is Grant Brown and I am going to chronicle my route to the PGA Tour on this blog. I grew up on a dairy farm in western Oklahoma near a little town called Bessie. We had about 200 Holstein dairy cows along with numerous baby calves and Quarter Horses. The dairy was never ending but satisfying work. Well, at least to my two older brothers and older sister it was satisfying. I, however, always wanted to go play sports instead of do chores. Looking back, I am very grateful for the work ethic my dad instilled in me and the lifestyle that comes with living on a dairy…BUT I am also very grateful to be playing golf every day and NOT feeding baby calves every morning and evening!!!

The main purpose of this blog is to give spiritual encouragement, golf knowledge, and maybe even a little humor to anyone who reads it. I give God all of the glory for carrying me through the ups and downs that come with playing golf for a career. I will also share fundamentals that I learn for golf and for life. I totally take to heart Proverbs 3:5 and 6, which says; “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.”

I have been playing professional golf the last four years and am excited for my upcoming 2012 season! You can check out my detailed story and other information at grantbrowngolf.com. You can also follow me on Facebook. Feel free to comment on any topic that I write about, but I do reserve the right to manage the comments so that the conversation will stay in a positive light. I will delete any profanity or comments that do not apply to the post.

    Thanks for Reading!

Reading your few posts are encouraging to me in my walk with God and to my golf game – a great combination to have in one blog!
Your wisdom in both at such a young age is inspiring.
